Pilgrimage is a project in which I follow the footsteps of my most significant heroines. In this performance it was following the life of Fraulein Maria, the theatrical and fictitious character based on the real person Maria Von Trapp. I wrote letters from myself to Maria and left these letters at each of her scene sets. I photographed myself depicting her most famous moments as if an attempt to become my iconic heroine.

41 Happy Anniversary Ms. Austen

A Truth Universally Acknowledged, Performance, Red Deer, AB, 2013.

In celebration of the 200th Anniversary of Jane Austen’s novel Pride and Prejudice, on January 28th 2013 I read the entire novel aloud while sitting in front of the Austen section at the local college library. First was laid a blanket for viewers to sit and listen on, next a bench for myself and lastly a filled tea cup to keep my voice strong. People would sit for a moment up to an hour listening, whether it be to their favourite novel or perhaps words heard for the first time that day.

Just Between You and Me, 2015

Between you and me was a performance based installation that centers on the practice of note passing, and invited audiences to witness the intimate conversations of a father and a daughter, two sisters, a pair of lovers and a set of friends, as they exchange thoughts, drawings, secrets and stories all through pen and paper. Four pulleys systems were drawn across the room to overwhelm the floor as well as the sky with written conversation.
